Bio / Techniques:
Don't know if this qualifies as a self portrait, since the thumbprint is an enlarged selection from a snapshot that is ten years old; however, the enlarged part is painted and reworked by me in Painter. |

| Title: Untitled |

| Artist: Nidia Palomo | ||

Bio / Techniques:
Self taught computer artist. This is a self portrait based on a digital photo. It was modified in the style of past traditional painting styles with a very simple photo modification program that I was testing. Tired of PhotoShop I usually turn to less sophisticated programs to test my abilities and to make images to ease my stress. |

Bio / Techniques:
A highly-fiddled-with photo, using some of MetaCreations's Painter 5 tricks. No talent-- just an image-- :-) |

Bio / Techniques:
After ten years or so spent either studying or practicing architecture, I'm now concentrating on graphic arts. My interest is in traditional printmaking and computer aided graphics. The image posted was created with RayDream and Photopaint. |

| Title: The Noisy One |
|
|
| Artist: Wardie Ward | ||
| WWW Site: http://www.west.net/~wardie | ||
|
Bio / Techniques:
This self portrait was done sans mirror, sans anything but Painter 5 and my trusty Wacom. That's why it probably doesn't look anything like me. I had a lot of fun doing it, and learned some new things about using the scratchboard tool. |

| Title: The Self of Me |
|
|
| Artist: Marc Whittemore | ||
| WWW Site: http://home.earthlink.net/~jusdo8 | ||
|
Bio / Techniques:
This is kind of like my before and after picture. It symbolizes the duality or the good and bad inherent in me, in everyone, and the masks we wear. Going left to right, it symbolizes growth --that sometimes it's just time that allows one to develop or "grow" the good side and "wellness". Consisting of photographs, hand/computer rendering (the reptilian part) and Painter's image hose. |

| Title: Generations |

|
Bio / Techniques:
I recently found an old photo of my mom when she was around my age, and it inspired me to create this stained glass image in Painter 5. I'm on the left, and my daughters are above. I used Liquid Metal for the leading, and found the textures on the CD. A bit about me: I've been a freelance artist since '93. Before that, I worked at an advertising agency. Most of the work I do now is for the Web. |

| Title: Image4 |
|
|
| Artist: Norman Maynard | ||
| WWW Site: http://members.tripod.com/~sheeper/ | ||
|
Bio / Techniques:
I'm a recovering architect who likes to play with sheep and Painter (and any other graphic program I can get my hands on). This image was made in Painter 4.0 with some pretty straightforward techniques (choose brush, choose color, paint.), then mathematically joined with a photo in PSP, then returned to Painter for some final messing-with. |

Bio / Techniques:
No - this image isn't me - just who I'd sometimes like to be. For all the details visit my web site. |
